Lovely Company: JustGiving

JustGiving has been around since 1999 (that’s a long time online!). Their goal? “To help people raise as much as they can for charity by providing an excellent service to as many people as possible”.

It’s a straightforward idea. You setup a fundraising page on the website and then tell all your friends and family about it. They can contribute towards your fundraising effort and leave comments on your page. An example of a fundraising page can be found here: http://justgiving.com/philsmillion.

JustGiving have also done some wrangling with the taxman on automatic Gift Aid reclaim which means yet more money for charity.

In the nine years since the company was established they have helped over 6 million people raise more than £350 million pounds for charity! Those are some BIG numbers!
