How to react to your website getting hacked

February 9th, 2009 · No Comments · GSOH, Lovely People, Special Occasions

One of the scariest things that can happen to anyone with a website is to see it get hacked.

A few weeks ago a site called, run by Gary Vaynerchuk of Wine Library TV, was hacked into, a story which made the front page of TechCrunch.

In a flash, Gary was on the scene with an honest update of the situation (see clip below). He took control of the situation and even turned it to his own advantage:

Solid black eye! Very excited for the people at Adult Friend Finder. We’re in the midst of fixing it. Happy new year!”

The problem was then quickly resolved using the power of Twitter. Gary shares the full story with us here:

If you’re a Gary Vee fan then check back tomorrow as we’re going to run a little profile of him!
