Meet Gary Vaynerchuk

February 10th, 2009 · No Comments · Lovely People

Gary Vaynerchuk is an American businessman who took over the family business – rebranding it as Wine Library – at a young age and transformed it from a local store into a $50m national industry leader. Every weekday he records an episode of Wine Library TV in which he tastes different wines with his guests and recommends what foods it might go with. He’s not afraid to give negative reviews or recommend his competitors’ wines in order to maintain his integrity.

He is widely considered one of the greats when it comes to building a personal brand. He responds personally to hundreds of emails from fans and customers every day and has amassed a following of over 34,000 on Twitter! His over-the-top style isn’t to everyone’s taste but, in being true to himself and working hard, he has built up a very valuable personal brand.
